Wooden Safe Blueprints

Pakus of Lazy Blog, a few weeks ago we proposed a challenge that has proved so much fun. make a mega-muffin.
The recipe is just like any other muffin, taking into account only two aspects.
The first, most logical, is to use a single large mold in order to introduce the mass, rather than many small molds muffins.
The second, and most importantly, is given by two inseparable features: time and baking temperature. As recommended Pakus is more than necessary to cook at low temperature for a long time, so it will not be raw on the inside, as it has a lot of volume. As traditional cooking over low heat is better, no?
Curiously, Cupcake measured about 15 cm in diameter and 15 tall, and spent just over a kilo.
also with the amount of ingredients put, out so much dough that I had plenty for the cast chosen, so apart from the mega-cupcake did after 12 muffins more than standard size.




ingredients for a mega-muffin (and more ...):
400 grs. flour.
envelope of yeast.
350 grs. sugar.
6 eggs.
120 ml. milk.
380 ml. Olive Oil 0.4 º.
1 / 2 teaspoon salt.
An orange confit.


First indication: the dough should make it the day before, as it has to rest for 24 hours. So the day that we will only bake.


Mix flour with baking powder and salt and sift together. Set aside.


In a separate bowl with a whisk, mix eggs with sugar, it is fast for a cream.


Then we add the milk gradually stirring constantly but slowly.


When well blended do the same by adding the oil.


After mixing all this we continue to add ingredients this time the flour mixture, beating slowly.


After mixing everything, still beating, but increased the speed gradually until it stops for about 3 minutes.


Cut the diced candied orange and incorporate, stirring gently.


We plugged the bowl with a cloth and leave it resting in the refrigerator for 24 hours.

Next day:


We take the mixture of the fridge and back to beat with a whisk at high speed.


Line a pan with baking paper and fill with the dough to a height of 3 / 4 parts.




Preheat oven to 250 °, upper + lower heat + air.


At the time of putting the mega-cupcake lowered the temperature to 145 º and bake for 2 hours, covering the top with a piece of aluminum foil.


These are the times used by me, as always vary from one oven to another, in my case was perfect for cooking and ...... color and flavor, although we have cupcakes for a week. ... (or almost ..).
